I'm Cute

I'm cute! And so Mommy wanted to post pictures of me. And Zachary too. He's also cute. I am now calling him my Buddy b/c I heard Daddy calling him that.  So now I say Zachie Buddy. So here are pictures of me and my Zachie Buddy from Easter weekend when Granna and Pop2 were here. They took our pictures.  Look at how strong I am!

Zachary even decided to show Pop2 and Granna how he is learning piano.

Graduation: Pre-school-8th Grade

Last week Zachary graduated from pre-school. My first baby is already off to full time school next year. It's so hard to believe.  I am going to miss bringing him to Mom's Day Out next year. Adelyn will miss him going to school there too. She loved for him to greet her at her classroom or to go greet him at his after school. I am also going to miss bringing him to his 4 year old class. He had a wonderful teacher. He absolutely loved being in her class and he was so comfortable around her.  I noticed how much he could be himself there.  I always enjoyed talking to her also.

For an end of the year graduation they got to walk across a stage while the teachers said their name and what they wanted to be when they grew up. Zachary picked a fireman. After they walked, they sang a song to the tune of "She'll be Coming Around the Mountain".

No we're not going to pre-school anymore.
No we're not going to pre-school anymore.
No we're not going to pre-school. We're not going to pre-school.
We're not going to pre-school anymore.

Yes we're off to kindergarten yes we are...

And so forth.

We enjoyed the graduation and the refreshments afterward. Lots of picture taking happened of course.

Today Zachary and I played with the dollhouse.  He has a doll that he named after himself to represent him and one to represent his friend Meredith. Today he pretended that they were both graduating except he skipped a few years.  Today they graduated from 8th grade. We set up a stage with blocks and seating for the families in front.  We didn't have a teacher so we used a dinosaur. A plant eating one. We had a few extra duplo people in the class. The dinosaur named each of the kids and what they wanted to be when they grew up. Zachary again was going to be a fireman and Meredith was going to be a teacher. He also had the kids sing his graduation song. He even changed the appropriate lines from pre-school to 8th grade and kindergarten to high school.

I love the minds of children.  I am of course like every parent, looking forward to seeing what kind of new stories and creativity he will develop over the years.
