We love to play outside in the evenings during the fall!  The weather is great and the neighbors are out.  I love riding my tricycle!

Zachary loves his bike too and he is getting even better at riding it!

Zachary played soccer this fall and he is teaching me how to play too.

He is teaching me how to pass.

Sometimes he kicks the ball really hard!

Sometimes I just like to sit and enjoy the outside!

My Whole Heart

If you are reading this you are getting to see one of my most personal posts. My lyrics I have come up with after all of the traveling and visiting done this summer. Music has not been written yet.

My Whole Heart- English Miller
Words begun on Aug 13, 2012 and completed on Aug 25, 2012

(Verse 1)
I left a piece of my heart  (pause) up in Washington.
And where I grew up (pause)  across the ocean.
I  left some all along I-10 From Houston to New Orleans
And I long to have it back together again.

(Verse 2)
Some has ended up in Boston, and got moved to Virginia
And some has left and traveled east to the Atlantic Coast in Florida
I gave some away in Wyoming and the Panhandle of Texas.
And though I’ve never been there some has made it to Arizona

(Chorus)
And how is it that I can leave my heart
In so many places(second time “people”)?
How can I divide it up that small?
How can each piece feel that much longing?
Unless it can all be back together how can I feel whole again?

(Verse 3)
When I leave my family (pause) after a great visit
I think to myself (pause) that nothing could be as hard as this.
But when my dear friend comes (pause)  from far away
I can’t let go and my heart longs for here to stay.
(chorus)

(Bridge)
How can I let go? How can this be right?
I long to be among those I love most at the same time
Because that is when my heart… is most content.

(Verse 4)
So right here and now I try as best as I can
To love each one from where ever I am.
As we uncover science, I gain more opportunity
To continue staying close with our friends and family.

(Chorus)
One day I won’t have to leave my heart all over the world.
I won’t have to divide it up that small.
I will feel more love than I’ve ever known before in my life.
B/c one day it will be back together. And I will feel whole again.

Final Chorus
Just like on Sunday when those on earth and those in heaven.
Join all together in communion.
And one day, one day we will understand
When we are together in heaven….in full communion…..what it’s like to be completely whole again.

If Adelyn Had Her Own Page

I was reading in a magazine the other day and saw a page that had a sample of what a toddler's facebook page would look like.  I don't want to make my toddler a facebook page but I thought it would be interesting to think about what it would say.

Screen name: BusyYetCheerful
Age: 2
Hometown: San Antonio
Seeking: Co-ed group of friends
Interests: Babies, trains, little people, doll houses, water, swimming, swings, dancing, BOOKS, music
Education: ABC Club Graduate, MDO
Languages: Understands spoken English, speaks English in small sentences. Expressive and receptive fragments of ASL
Favorite Spot: Blue chairs in front of Little Einsteins or Caillou, Mommy's lap with a book
Food: Peanut butter, goldfish, blueberries, avocado
Drinks: Milk, water and a juice if I can get my hands on one.
Sleep Habits: Believes in 10 1/2 hour nights with a slow to rise after waking.  This may or may not involve animal arrangement.  Also prefers 1 1/2 to 2 hour recharge during the day.
Dislikes: Other babies taking too much of Mommy, getting nails clipped, getting hair combed, some breads
Favorite Books: Berenstain Bears, Click Clack MOO: Cows that Type, Spot
Favorite Shows: Little Einsteins, Caillou, Curious George, Sesame Street, Cat in Hat
General Habits: Socks all day and night

Guess what everyone! I figured out the tricycle!  I had some spare time while visiting my great-grandparents house in Louisiana so I gave it a spin...or the pedals I should say.  Now I no longer have to scoot myself along and it will make the ride to the mailbox with Zachary much faster!

8.9.12 The Continuing Adventures of Rockwall and Rockwell

It had been a while since we heard from Zachary's two cats, Rockwall and Rockwell.  At least they have stopped making a mess in the kitchen and leaving it that way.  I was pleasantly surprised to find out that they would be joining us in Louisiana this summer.  They hung around my mom's parents house for a while. I gave them strict instructions to not leave a mess.  That would be very helpful to my grandparents. The cats did join us one day at the Health Club there in Opelousas.  They dove off of the diving board one time and then left.  It was starting to look stormy so they left.  They are not fans of lightning.  One day they came to Baton Rouge with us.  They stayed a while to play with the LaSavia's cat Rosa.  I did hear that they were dissapointed about the trampoline not being there anymore.  I did let them know that there was an excellent jungle gym in the back now.  They were stay overnight while we drove back to Opelousas.  They joined us a few days later at my dad's parent's house.  My aunt and cousins live next door to their.  The cats enjoyed much of their time INSIDE Aunt Amaryllis' house...away from the 4 outdoor dogs that live outside her door.  The inside one is sweet enough to not bother them.  They actually stayed with cousins Blaise playing some video games. They got a little hooked and played for most of the day. They did of course take a break to go fishing.  They did not join Zachary, Dad, Pa-pa and I the day we went.  They went by themselves a different day. They are of course quite talented at fishing.  We really should have brought them with us the day we went. They may have showed us some techniques we were not aware of to help us in the hot sun.  I was glad to have them around more often again.  They had such a good time in Louisiana they even invited themselves to stay an extra few nights.  I wasn't sure how they were going to get back but they apparently had it figured out. It turns out that they built themselves a car which folded up. So it wasn't a problem when they met us at the Astros game and wanted to ride home with us. Calzone the blue horse joined us as well.  He sat behind us.  I'm not exactly sure how he got there.

Zachary has just told me (8.9.12) that he adopted his cats.  One of them is 12 and one is 13.  I had no idea they were even this old.  This does explain some of their behaviors...the invention car, the playing video games all day...

Please stay tuned for more adventures of Rockwall and Rockwell, Zachary's imaginary cats.

Zachary's words of July

During prayers this morning Zachary prayed,
"...thank you for our friends and family.  Please give us enough oxygen, food, and water, and please do not let a meteor hit the Earth. Or the sun".

Moments for Mommy

Sometimes we make Mommy feel full of love.  We know we have made her proud. We mostly know because she runs to get her phone and takes a picture.

Kids are so Funny

I love kids. Here's a few reasons why.

Scott: Whose my girl?
Adelyn: Batman

While driving in the car Zachary says, "Why can't you just put a toilette in the car?"

About 2 days ago Adelyn brought me a doll that was actually mine when I was little.  After she showed me several times I finally looked at it's face and noticed that there were goldfish stuck in it's mouth. Apparently Adelyn wanted to share...which of course makes me proud, however, it took a minute to get the gold fish out.

Yesterday after swimming lessons we came home and had lunch. Adelyn was still wearing her stickers she got at swimming.  After lunch we were getting things cleaned up and getting ready to go upstairs for quiet time. Things are still scattered here and there downstairs for the garage sale we are getting ready to have on Saturday including the pricing stickers.  I noticed as we were going that Adelyn decided to give Sandy a sticker. I suppose he earned it somehow.  As proud as he might have been of himself for whatever the nice behavior was, he might have later been a little disturbed to know that Adelyn had priced him for $5.

Fathers Day 2012!

This year for father's day we made Daddy breakfast and gave him gifts we made. We also went swimming and Mommy made a special dinner. We appreciate our daddy.

Making a smoothie. Daddy is into those again.

Adelyn helped

We gave daddy the space diorama we made.

Maggie's First Communion

In May we went to Frisco for Cousin Maggie's first communion! Mommy and Daddy are her godparents!  She had a beautiful ceremony and then we had food afterward at Aunt Ann and Uncle Jim's house.

We got to hang out with our Aunt Michelle and Uncle Matthew one weekend in April. They live in Dallas. It's a long drive so we don't go much but we sure were glad we got to visit!! Aunt Michelle made delicious dinner, showed us pictures, took us swimming and also had some hoppin good music! We will miss them when the move to Arizona this summer.

We danced a lot at Aunt Michelle's!  Mommy is so happy that we love to dance.

We got to see Granna and Pop2!

Doing what boys love to do! Watch big trucks!

Adelyn played with Uncle Jim

Mommy caught Uncle Matthew playing games during church. J/K...we got there an hour early.
